More litter picks lined up

13 October 2016

Keep Grangetown Tidy has unveiled its litter-picking dates for the winter months.

It is nearly two years since the group was launched now and it is attracting a good bunch of volunteers of all ages giving up an hour or two a month to tackle litter in the streets.

Waste officers from Cardiff Council are now working closely with Tidy Grangetown and are often helping to deal with fly-tipping and bulk issues which volunteers alert them to during the course of the litter-pick.

Gloves, bags and pickers are provided – and reflective tabards (for those who want them!)

New volunteers are always welcome – and everyone meets at 9.45am at the Cardiff Rivers truck.

The next date is: Sunday 16th October at Merches Gardens. Litter-pickers will then fan out in surrounding streets.
