It was the official opening of the Grangetown Library Hub – which has seen the building expand to include a community room, cafe and other council and local services.

Local organisations – including those who are part of the new set-up – were represented, and as well as live music and Zumba demonstrations, there was story-telling and an animal corner. Cardiff City players made a special appearance.

Local councillors and assembly member Vaughan Gething also attended.

The Hub is open six days a week. A number of events will also be held in the evening, with the community room adjoining the main building accessible in the evening. Thanks to St Paul’s Primary School it will be called “the Community Cabin.”

You can find a list of regular events, classes and services on our directory page.
