Witness appeal after boy approached

Police have appealed for a witness who stepped in after a man attempted to grab a 12-year-old boy on his way to school.

The incident happened on South Clive Street between 7.20am and 7.40am on Thursday 10th December.

A man,approached the boy who was on his way to the bus stop to go to school and attempted to grab him.

A member of the public intervened and the boy was able to continue on his way to school unharmed.

The suspect is described as black and in his 20s, wearing green baseball cap and a top featuring a face on the front with a gold chain around it.

The force is keen to trace the witness who stepped in and any other people who may have seen this incident.
