Half term headache? Here are some ideas

It’s half term, it’s February, it will probably rain – what can you do in Grangetown?

Well there are a few choices:

  • Firstly, all week, Grangetown Play Centre off Ferry Road has activities designed for outside – but mostly indoors!

10am-1pm, 2pm-5pm, free to five to 14-year-olds; under fives must be accompanied by an adult. Activities daily include arts/crafts, pool, table tennis, X-Box, climbing frame and outdoor sports; plus cinema trip on Tuesday morning, pottery, reptiles visit and a bike trip.  Click here

  • Friends of Pentre Gardens are hosting free play and planting sessions on Monday 15th (St Samson’s Church Hall, 3pm to 5pm), also that afternoon there is a music workshop where children can compose and record their own songs.

A Graffiti Workshop will also be held in the church hall on Wednesday 17th (3pm-5pm).

  • Grangetown Library Hub have Story and Craft activities all week, Mon-Fri, 2pm.

  • On Tuesday, the Community Garden project have a family workshop at Grange Bowls Pavilion, Grange Gardens, 10am-1pm. All welcome, no experience necessary, tools provided – just dress in warm clothes.
